Terms of Service
Last updated August 2026
This is the deal in plain English. If anything here isn't clear, ask me before you pay. I'd rather explain it than have you guess.
What you're buying
The $500 covers the website build, one round of changes before launch, and getting the site live. That's the whole price.
The demo you saw is the spec. Your round of changes covers things like text swaps, photo swaps, contact details, reordering sections, and small styling tweaks. Send them as one list and I'll work through it.
If the list grows into something bigger (new pages, new features, a different design direction, work we never discussed), I'll tell you before I touch it and quote it separately. I won't start extra work until you've said yes in writing.
Before you pay
I build the site first. You look at it before any money changes hands. If you don't want it, you owe me nothing and I delete it. No obligation on either side.
The Friday guarantee
If I miss the launch date we agreed on and it's down to me, you get every dollar back. Simple as that.
What moves the date: waiting on your photos or text, waiting on access to your domain, waiting on your approval, or waiting on someone else's provider. If I'm waiting on you, the clock pauses.
Payment and refunds
You pay through the checkout after you've seen your demo site. Paying is accepting the demo as the site you're buying. Once you've paid, I push it live on your domain.
If anything goes wrong before launch, or I miss the date and it's on me, you get a full refund. Once the site is live and handed over, the $500 isn't refundable. At that point the work has been done and delivered.
If you're ever unsure, don't pay yet. Tell me what's wrong and I'll either fix it or we walk away clean.
After launch
For 7 days after launch, I'll fix anything that's wrong on my end at no charge: a typo I made, a broken link, a photo in the wrong spot. Just tell me.
Anything beyond fixes (new content, new photos, updated hours, new sections) is covered by the hosting plan if you're on it, or quoted before I start if you're not.
What you provide
Logos, photos, text, reviews: whatever you send me, you're confirming you own it or have permission to use it, and that it's accurate.
The content of your site is yours. You're responsible for what it says.
Ownership
Once you've paid in full, the finished files, the design, and the content are yours. Your domain is yours and stays in your name the whole time. I never hold it.
I keep the right to show the work in my portfolio. If you'd rather I didn't, just tell me and I won't.
Hosting (optional)
$49/month, month to month. No contract, cancel whenever you like.
It covers hosting, security and software updates, daily backups, and small changes: new photos, updated hours, a price change, a service added.
If you want an email address at your own domain forwarding to an inbox you already use, I'll set that up on request. Hosted mailboxes and webmail aren't included — forwarding only.
Bigger work is separate: new pages, new features, and redesigns get quoted before I start.
If you cancel, the site comes off my server, but the files are yours and I'll send you everything. Partial months aren't refunded.
I'll keep it running and keep it secure. I can't promise it will never go down; nobody honestly can.
What I don't promise
I build sites designed to get you calls. What I can't promise is where you'll rank, how much traffic you'll get, how many calls come in, or what you'll earn from them.
Too much of that comes down to your market, your pricing, and how quickly you get back to people. Those aren't mine to control.
Limits
If something goes wrong and you have a claim against me, the most I'm liable for is what you paid me.
I'm not liable for lost profits, lost business, or other knock-on losses.
Ending it
Before you've paid, either of us can walk away any time and it costs nothing. After you've paid but before the site is live, walking away means a full refund.
Changes
I may update these terms. Whichever version was posted here when you bought is the one that applies to you. I'm not going to change the deal after the fact.
